Dear Colleagues,
In collaboration with our project partners in Türkiye, Italy, Poland, Greece, and Latvia, we are pleased to announce that the International Sustainable Gastronomy and Digital Chefs Congress, organized within the scope of the Erasmus+ supported “Master Chef Simulator” project, will be held on May 22–23, 2026, at the 15 July Martyrs Conference Hall of Karabük University.
Our congress aims to address sustainable gastronomy education from a multidimensional perspective through augmented and virtual reality technologies. Within this framework, the integration of sustainable gastronomy principles and the Slow Food approach into gastronomy education, the preservation of local heritage, the balance between ethical production and consumption, and the role of digital learning environments in this process will be comprehensively examined. Furthermore, recent developments in virtual and augmented reality applications in gastronomy and culinary arts education, along with theoretical and practical approaches and scientific research in the field, will be discussed on a shared academic platform.
The congress program will be enriched through keynote speeches, panels, workshops, courses, oral and poster presentations, as well as social events. We believe that our congress, which aims to bring together scholars, academics, and professional chefs under the umbrella of digital gastronomy, will be further strengthened by your valuable contributions and participation.
We would be honored and delighted to welcome you to our congress.
Important Notice: The congress does not require any registration, submission, or publication fees. Participation as well as the submission and publication of abstracts and full-text papers are entirely free of charge.
Best Regards,
On behalf of the Organising Committee
